THE ONE WITH "AN EVENING IN KUALA LUMPUR"

Zara went to fetch Abah who just came bk from his Singapore trip around 830pm. Since abah was so hungry, we makan2 first at this one delliciouss chewy cheese nan and teh tarik susu lembu (yukss!!) place near Semua House.Tonite, Zara being Zara was jovial as ever esp. after seeing abah. Sume org she acknowledged plus the mamak who took our orders. Notty 
The people who were sitting behind and kiri kanan our table pun tegur2 dia and she HAPPILY SMILED BACK and GIGGLED.  I am pretty sure she started it...Dunno what to say..hheemmm....
The guy behind hastily asked me whether that's my daughter and I said Yes, and Why? He replied "VERY GOOD..VERY GOOD" ...La...Zara..Zara...
Then we stopped by at Merdeka Square. purposely want to show Zara KL night time. It was just a brief walk at the
park (park ke?) and taking into consideration that she just loves lampu..so we hang out for a while and watch the GiGANTIC screen yg mase tu on air was tilawah al quran- ALHAMDULILLAH...rasa tenang je...

THE ONE WITH FEVER & TRIP TO GENTING

Last Saturday 29th July, Zara got fever for the first time ever since she was born  about 38.6deg. Ibu and abah obviously were not happy with the fact as we already planned for a family getaway just the three of us. Tapi itu semua kerja tuhan..kita hanya merancang.
In spite of the fever, she was still very active when we brought her to see a paed nearby ibu's office.Dr. Cheng tak bukak pulak that day. Doctor said we can still go ahead with our plan by looking at her condition. That nite Zara, went back to Selayang to see Tokma&Tokba plus Onyang who just came down fr. Terengganu.Still no sign of recovery, makin meragam aje:  Onyang said its pretty normal for babies to hv fever..and it is good for them actually to hv it once a while.
Malam tu, ibu hardly sleep.Asyik2 lap dia with icy cold water, hoping and praying her temp will drop in time to leave for Genting or else we have to say bye bye. I keep whispering to her ears.." Zara, if u get better, we will go to Genting and I'm sure u will have loads of fun there..i promise."Alhamdulillah..next day she woke up with a big SMILE  and we are all set to go!
Here are some of the pix at Genting. It was a bit chilly up there but hei, thats what we shud expect at highlands. We really had a GREAT TIME and i think Zara sampai terpeleot-peleot looking at all the hanging lights. Start with Genting dulu, then we can plan for a longer and further trip yea honey bunch..

THE ONE WITH ZARA'S FIRST SOLID FOOD

Flipping thru books and pages on baby's first solid food was what i really did before zara can really start on one. Mana la tau..inexperienced..kot kot..beginner la katakan..zara is going to be 6 mths soon.. 
thx to mummies who actually did gave me some advise and recipes! Got a few from Mummy Danish.
went to Giant, standing at the isle in front of the lonnnggg stretch of baby food made me confused..there were all sorts of nestums, gerber,heinz,farleys..u name it..since ibu and abah zara ni "pandai", kena la make emergency call to aunt ida who works at the nursery in pusrawi.
"ida...akak kat giant ni..nak start give zara food apa yg ida advise untuk beli ha?"
"ohh..akak beli nestum brown rice..that's the closest taste to susu for a start"
"but kat sini ada yg with added milk..ada yg tak.."
"kalau mcm tu, akak beli yg with milk..tak payah add sendiri lg senang"
"how about heinz? my fren kata bagus...but ini for 6 mths..zara belum lagi..
" ala..beli je kak...dah boleh makan actually..dun worry.." 
Okla..since u say so..ibu pun bought Heinz and Gerber and Nestum..and knowing abah is a bit meticuluos, after reading the instructions, he said NO to all those- not until Zara is really 6 mths! La..PULAK DAH  ..Then beli awal2 bakpe...ish ish..
Alas, i tried making her food on my own instead.So, she had her first taste of homemade carrot & potatoes puree and apple puree..lagi bagus...Heinz ke Gerber ke, simpan for contingency purpose..I tried to give her as much homemade food as possible..insyaallah...

THE ONE WITH EVERYBODY'S BIRTHDAY

15TH JULY 2006 - A BELATED CELEBRATION for us all- We were so busy at Selayang side first with Arie's (Ayah Lang Zara)wedding then continue with Mama and Abah's trip to L*ND*n and kak Liza (Mak Long Zara) invigilating exams during weekends and Cik Su (Zara's aunty bongsu) got programs to organize...that we have to postpone the birthday celebrations til today...
It was @ Chatters, Subang. Last time went there abt a year ago,me and hubbee were newly weds!  Now Ayah Lang's turn to bring his new wifey Azie (Mak Lang).
Here's the list of birthday girls and guy-
myself , Mama, Ciksu, Hubbee and Mak Long  HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALL!!
ps: Ayah Lang, so sorry no wedding photos of yours..all our cameras ran out of battery remember? Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS to you and Azie!!!

THE ONE WHEN SHE SLEEPS

WELL...what can I say. Life will never be the same again now that we have lil Zara around.
Everything if so amazing with a baby in the house. And everyhting seems to be the first time..the first moments..all about her first move  , her first gesture  , her first smile  ..The best part I like most is to snap picz of Zara when she sleeps!! So calm and so genuine..so much like me..(ye la tu) 
Ps: Only mummies can realllly understand. And daddies too...oppss!!

THE ONE WITH ZARA'S CUKUR JAMBUL

1 week before i have to go back to work. It was on Maulud Nabi when we had Zara's cukur jambul@ Ampang- my aunt's place. There were marhaban and makan2 and cukur2 from the granparents. Other two babies were Adam Aiman- Chichi's son(5mnths) and Aqeel Imran- Kak Lin's son (4 mnths).
I must admit Zara wasn't so much in her good mood that day, can tell by her picz- heartless face.  Thank gooness during the round the room session, i have to "sumbat" her with susu before she can start singing on top of her lungs..did i ever mention, she's good at that. Don't want that to happen on special occasions like this. Nope...
The rest of the day went well...Zara was like a princess in her dress. Talking bout her dress, me and Ana have to shop everywhere to look for her gown and one that fits for her small size. Headache though...but we managed to pick up a simple white gown at Secret Garden in OU.Nice and simple.
but I bet she wouldn't like wearing it.I susah2 sew a few more ribbons on her dress and wallaa!! it's perfecttttt....not to mention i did her headgear too... ibu and Ida struggled to turn her bouncinet into a marvelous royal looking one. tiih tih..idea..idea..put some tiny ribbons here..add some laces there..it turned out perfecto! (credit to wan and aunt ida) Anything for dear Zara...

THE ONE WHEN ZARA TURNED 1 MONTH
|

TODAY MY ZARA is exactly 1 mth old~ me and hubby keep taking picz of her even before she's awake.
Wouldn't want to miss it for the world. Asyik2 snap her picz. 
Visit to the paed was a scary one. I mean, for me. without my mom, i dont think i can handle Zara that well.. no confidence yet..she's just too small for me to carry around..(excuse!)  Her weight is 3.5kg and 53 cm in height.
These are some faces of Zara's from 1 months onwards.. 
ps: Kak Lin starts calling her pretty-pretty wow as in Ara from Sanay Wala Nang Wakas..hah!

....after she turned 6mth, i switch to nestum but she doesnt like it, emmmm high taste plak baby aku ni, benda murah xnak mkn. nak beli gerber, sekotak da cecah rm4, kalau beli nestum tu baru rm3+++ bole thn bbrp minggu. gerber sekotak just can last for 3-4 days. btw, my advise is pls taste the food everytime u wanna to feed your baby, just to know the taste whether yummy or yaerkkk
